- Deep Clean
After sitting unused for a season, chances are, your ski boat, wakeboard boat, or wakesurf boat can use a good scrub! To begin you spring boating checklist, use a mild detergent and wipe down the hull, deck, and topsides of the boat. Then move on to the windows, bimini, hatches, any teak wood interiors, etc., using the appropriate cleaning supplies for the materials. Finish up with a good coat of wax and polish on all metal surfaces.
- Check Supplies
First and foremost – is your registration current and onboard? If not, get that renewed or replaced in the glove box as part of your spring boating checklist. Then make sure all of the equipment is still current. Your boat should have enough life jackets for the number of passengers (replace any that are worn out from last season!), make sure fire extinguishers are still charged, and restock first aid supplies.
